To make a positive difference to the lives of children and impoverished people of the third world countries, and helping them to achieve their highest potential.
A significant part of Green Era's charitbale work is medical.
Every year in Bangladesh, around 150,000 children are born with cleft lip and palates, surgery is very expensive and there are only a few trained cleft surgeons in the country. The children with cleft -lip and cleft –pallet have difficulties in eating and speaking as a result they face an isolated life filled with misery for not being socially accepted.
Rehabilitation of the cleft patient is multidisciplinary and management of cleft lip/cleft pallet requires more than surgical repair of the facial defect.
Services of other professionals such as dentists, orthodontists, otolaryngologists, audiologists, and pediatricians are usually required to identify and treat the associated problems. Cleft- lip operations offer a child a fresh start in life.
Green Era provides free cleft-lip and cleft- pallet surgeries to poor children of Bangladesh. Our cleft-lip project is committed to optimise the quality of life of children by providing free reconstructive cleft- lip and cleft -pallet surgery in different parts of Bangladesh.
